Final Version 9.0 Change Notes
Hello everyone! I am happy and incredibly relieved to announce that the Version 9.0 All That Remains update for VoltAge:Genesis is COMPLETED. There will be a further announcement when the update is posted and the game officially goes live on Steam, but for now, enjoy the final (?) major update notes for VoltAge:Genesis. We did it, guys :D
VoltAge:Genesis Version 9.0 “All That Remains” Update Dev Notes
NOTE: Players who previously completed the demo and chose to return to the mainland will be able to return to the point where the demo left off by speaking to the man next to the bus stop in Pedregal Springs.

Changes to Existing Quests
- A Sorcerer’s Will
- The “Ancient Coin” can now be found in the care package in Allan’s room once he has joined the party permanently.
- Players who have previously completed the quest and searched the care package can search it a second time to obtain the “Ancient Coin”.

- Heroes and Thieves
- The “Old Journal” is now correctly referred to as the “Ruined Journal” during the sequence when you obtain it.
- Lost and Found
- After completing the final part of the quest, the security guard in the SBC building will gift you the “Bird Coin”.
- Market Expansion
- If you saved the Zephyr Airways Employee hiding in the trees near the western pond and agreed to keep her secret, she will now gift you the “Arrow Coin” when you talk to her after checking in with Amelia and Elam.
- Upon saving the man near the pond who is being attacked by a Ceratoad, he no longer gives you four (4) Apples.
- Instead, he now gives you two (2) Apples and two (2) Waters.
- The Broken
- The player is now required to recruit at least seven (7) Eloin before Final Battle
- The progression of the final battle has been updated.
- The Marked Man, Pt. 1
- The party now gains +1 Steel Legion lore upon speaking to Lucas on the bridge south of Pedregal Springs.
- The Marked Man, Pt. 2
- The party now gains +1 Steel Legion lore upon speaking to Elam on the depths of Perdi Esper.
- Retaking Tocamllo
- The party now gains +1 Steel Legion lore upon liberating the Tocamllo Garrison.
- If the player has already completed this quest before downloading this update, they will automatically gain +1 Steel Legion lore upon entering the overworld for the first time after installing the update.
- In cases where the player has already completed the entire Lucas / Elam quest line, the only way to complete “Wealth of Knowledge VI” is to locate ALL other lore points.
Changes to Existing Areas
- Accoro Village
- The location can now be entered from multiple directions, affecting where the player spawns.
- The player can still only exit via the northern gates.
- Altuza’s Grave
- The location can now be entered from multiple directions, affecting where the player spawns.
- The player can still only exit via the eastern path.
- Criminal Hangout (New Panavinto)
- A new book about the Steel Legion has been added to this area. Reading it grants the player a point of Steel Legion Lore.
- Fortified Offices (Tocamllo Ruins)
- A computer containing emails about the Steel Legion has been added to this area. Reading the emails grant a point of Steel Legion Lore.
- Heroes’ Rest Cemetery (Bradospa)
- Several new messages have been added to the tombstones in the graveyard.
- Huipata Cave (Huipata Hills)
- The Strange Rocks now give only one (1) Smoky Quartz, instead of two (2).
- Hunters’ Guild (Acllapata Fortress)
- The party is now able to pay a Hunter in the training room of the Hunters’ Guild in Acllapata Fortress for low-level training (500 Volts for 1500 Exp).
- Hunters’ Guild (New Panavinto)
- The party is now able to pay a Hunter in the training room of the Hunters’ Guild in New Panavinto for low-level training (500 Volts for 1500 Exp).
- Kanolo HQ (Mateyo)
- A new book about the Steel Legion has been added to this area. Reading it grants the player a point of Steel Legion Lore.
- Kanolo HQ Basement (Kanolo Ruins)
- Added a prompt to help the player find the vent in the basement.
- Marecocha Caves (Marecocha Woods)
- The Strange Rocks in the south cave now give only one (1) Rock Salt, instead of three (3).
- A second Strange Rock has been added to the north cave which also gives one (1) Rock Salt.
- Oca Rongo (Marema)
- It is now possible to reach the Casino and the Office by skirting along the walls inside town.
- Rumor has it that Nathan has been seen hanging around the area…
- Outcast’s Camp (Marema)
- The location can now be entered from multiple directions, affecting where the player spawns.
- Pilgrim’s Way (Mateyo)
- The number of Medicinal Herbs growing in the jungle has been greatly increased.
- Rieldara Valley
- The party can no longer use a Shovel to free Delphine.
- The party now needs a Sledgehammer to free Delphine.
- The Tunnel
- The party can no longer walk over the skeletons near the door.
- More skeletons have been added.
- Tierra’s Pillar (Exterior)
- The skeleton near the Elder Bunyip’s lair in Tierra’s Pillar now correctly drops the following:
- Maul
- Reinforced Armor
- Reinforced Helm

- Tocamllo Garrison HQ (Tocamllo Outpost)
- A new book about the Steel Legion has been added to this area. Reading it grants the player a point of Steel Legion Lore.
- Trabunco Mt. Caves (Trabunco Mountains)
- A Strange Rock has been added to the caves which also gives one (1) Rock Salt.
- Yuramayo Cavern (Yuramayo Caves)
- Added a Strange Rock to the top level which can be destroyed with a Sledgehammer to obtain a Smoky Quartz.
- Yuramayo Ruins (Yuramayo Caves)
- Added a destroyed stone soldier to be looted.
Changes to Playable Characters
- Corbett’s Skill Progression has been tweaked
- No longer learns “Evil Eye” at Level 61
- Now joins the party with “Evil Eye” already learned
- Now learns “Impale” at Level 61, instead of Level 70
- Now learns “Vorpal Blade” at Level 70, instead of Level 82
- Now learns “Slashing Fury” at Level 82
- No longer learns “Evil Eye” at Level 61
- Vance’s Skill Progression has been tweaked
- No longer learns “Slashing Fury” at Level 65.
- If Vance has already learned “Slashing Fury”, it will be removed from his skill list upon entering the overworld.
Changes to Enemies
- “Aemit” has been tweaked
- Now has 5% HP Regeneration
- Basic attack has been changed to “Hungering Blade”, a <Dark> and <Slash> attack which is functionally identical to “Devil’s Cut” but costs 0 AP.
- No longer uses the “Devil’s Cut” skill
- No longer has 5% MP Regeneration
- “Marshal of Agony” has been tweaked
- Now uses “Rip” on a random target when reduced to 75/50/25 % of Max HP.
- “Marshal of Despair” has been tweaked
- The Marshal’s cries for help now have a debuffing effect on the party.

Changes to Weapons
- “Abaddon” has been fixed
- Weapon now correctly uses the animation for a Multi-Shot weapon
- “Ceramic Dagger” has been tweaked
- Now equippable only by Bridget
- “Charged Core” has been fixed
- Now correctly changes the wielder’s standard attack to “Dynamo”
- Basic Attacks by this weapon now deal mental (rather than physical) damage.
- “Charged Heart” has been fixed
- Now correctly changes the wielder’s standard attack to “Dynamo”
- Basic Attacks by this weapon now deal mental (rather than physical) damage.
- Weapon animation has been updated to the standard [Dark] focus attack.
- “Charged Lantern” has been fixed
- Now correctly changes the wielder’s standard attack to “Dynamo”
- Basic Attacks by this weapon now deal mental (rather than physical) damage.
- Weapon animation has been updated to the standard [Neutral] focus attack.
- “Charged Nucleus” has been fixed
- Now correctly changes the wielder’s standard attack to “Dynamo”

- “Denaze’s Spear” has been fixed
- Weapon now correctly prevents the equipping of a shield, rather than locking a shield to your character while the spear is equipped.

- Additionally, the name of the weapon has been changed to “Farmer’s Spear”.
- “Dull Sword” has been tweaked
- Now deals [Slash] damage, rather than [Crush] damage.
- Attack animation has been updated to reflect the new damage type.
- “Jeordan MX” has been tweaked
- Hit Chance has been reduced from -26% to -46%
- “Mystic Stick” has been tweaked
- Weapon animation has been changed to the animation for a [Crush] weapon.
- “Rock Salt” has been tweaked
- Now deals [Earth] element damage, rather than [Neutral] element.
- “Sanjuro” has been tweaked
- No longer grants the skill “Slashing Fury”
- “Shadow Particles” has been tweaked
- Weapon animation has been updated to the standard [Dark] focus attack.
- “Spiked Beads” has been fixed
- Weapon now correctly uses the animation for a [Crush] weapon.
- “Steel Knuckle” has been fixed
- Weapon now correctly uses the animation for a [Crush] weapon.
- “The Shepherd” has been tweaked
- Weapon animation has been changed to the standard for [Holy/Crush] attacks.
Changes to Accessories
- The “Dragon Coin” has been fixed
- Now correctly increases the wearer’s Hit Chance by 5%
- The “Fish Coin” has been tweaked
- Now offers the following stat bonuses to the wearer:

General Changes / Bug Fixes
- ONCE AGAIN, a bug in the Zephyr Airways office has been fixed…Amelia no longer vanishes temporarily while talking to the party for the first time.
- Updated the opening cinematic to make it more…cinematic.
- The party is now able to pay a Hunter in the training room of the Guilds in Acllapata Fortress and New Panavinto for low-level training (500 Volts for 1500 Exp).
- Changed the SECRET sequence where Anber gives the party the Ceramic Dagger…Anber now speaks directly to Bridget, rather than Nolan.
- Updated more events and dialogue for more consistency in window placement / style.
- Fixed issue with the position swap of the “Lazy Hunter” and “Suspicious Hunter” in New Panavinto.
