Upcoming Bug Fix


Hello everyone! As our number of players has begun to grow, I have been learning of new bugs and fixing them as I can...that being said, there will be a new patch coming sometime Sunday which will feature the following CRITICAL change:

Issue where choosing "Refuse" when confronting the people in Yuramayo Caverns occasionally results in a bugged file will be fixed
 - DO NOT select "REFUSE" unless you have downloaded the bug fix! Doing so and saving your game afterward will make it impossible to complete the game (note that the option only appears if you have met certain hidden prerequisites).
- This bug appears to be tied to recent changes which were made to Nolan's character progression. If you did not download the version 5.1.2 patch which was recently released, this bug should not occur, however as always frequent saving is recommended to ensure you don't get stuck.

Some other minor adjustments from my ongoing work on the Version 6.1 update will make it in as well:

  • -Changes to Existing Areas
    • Acllapata Fortress (Breeze Inn 2F)
      • Added a lootable “Homemade Tapper” to one of the dressers
    • Estancia Ruins (Lagus Books)
      • Removed the wandering shambler encounters from the front part of the store
      • Added two (2) books for Allan to the front part of the store (happy hunting!)
    • Estancia Ruins (VolTech HQ 1F)
      • Added a lootable “RADPatch” to the security desk
    • Jellumaray (Deserted Home)
      • Added a lootable “Rubber Glove” beneath the sink
    • Monolito Weapons Factory (Workshop)
      • Added a lootable “Screwdriver” to one of the cupboards
    • New Panavinto (Inn 2F)
      • Added a lootable “Lace Fan” to one of the dressers
    • Rieldara Cave
      • Changed the appearance of the battle screen background.
    • St. Joseph’s Road
      • Added a book for Allan to the temple library.
    • Tierra’s Pillar (Depths)
      • Fixed a tiling error which was preventing the player from exploring the left tunnel immediately after entering the Depths.

Additionally, I will try to add a couple of new quests in order to make downloading the game again more palatable...if I can't get the testing done to satisfaction by Sunday then I will forge ahead regardless, but just know that I am sorry for the inconvenience and will be working my hardest to A) fix the issue, and B) make sure that VoltAge:Genesis is a fun and engaging experience even in its incomplete form.
